Hinder and Deneuve

"Well, my partner wanted to call it something else, but screw that. The Den-cruiser sounds so much better than the Deo-mobile." Deneuve replied.

Hinder paused and laughed. "Shit, you're stuck with Deo?" he asked. "I pity you."

"Mm? He's fun though! Even though his...interogating skills could use some work..." Deneuve replied with a shake of the head.

He smiled as they came to the cruiser and he went around to the passenger side door and opened it, grinning.

"Here ya go!"

Hinder paused, staring at him before he smiled. "Um, thanks," he replied and got into the car, waiting for the man to join him as he did up his seatbelt.

Deneuve grinned and closed the door happily before he hurried around to the driver's side. Closing his own door, he grinned at Hinder before turning on the car.

The blonde smiled. "So what's Deo been doing since you're stuck on desk work?" he asked.

"Um...I honestly don't know." Deneuve murmured with a slight tilt of the head.

"I think we're both on paperwork actually...since he doesn't really get along with anyone else."

Hinder blinked. "He doesn't?" he asked and smiled. "Don't you feel lucky then?"

Deneuve shrugged and smiled.

"It's nice to have a partner who you can call your friend."

Hinder smiled and nodded. "Ya, I guess," he replied with a smile.

"Mm, we look out for each other." Deneuve smiled.

The blonde nodded, picking at some of the white in his hair. "It's good to have someone who's got your back," he said.

"It is nice." Deneuve said softly.

"Considering no one else really has it, it's nice."

Hinder nodded, looking over at him. "So, how far away is this restaurant?" he asked, looking out the window.

"Not very far." Deneuve mused faintly.

"...a couple of blocks."

Hinder nodded slightly. "So, can we go now?" he asked with a smile as his stomach grumbled loudly; he blushed. "Um, ya, kinda hungry."

Deneuve blinked once and then laughed as he nodded, putting the cruiser in gear.

"Alrighty! Onwards to the Bluebird!" He grinned.

Hinder grinned, leaning back against the seat and watching the man quietly. "What's it like to be shot?" he asked.

"Mm?" Deneuve blinked and glanced to his arm briefly.

"It hurts like a son of a bitch."

"Ya?" the blonde asked, looking to Deneuve's arm. "So, basically don't go out and get shot?"

"Pretty much. I don't do it on purpose, but I'm rather prone to injury." Deneuve muttered faintly.

"You are?" Hinder asked, arching an eyebrow as he watched him.

"Mm...last year I broke my arm three times." Deneuve admitted with a shrug.

"Suffered through six concussions, and two car accidents during high speed chases."

Hinder stared at him, his eyes wide. "Oh my god," he breathed. "You're lucky to be alive."

"Probably." Deneuve muttered faintly, shrugging.

"It's just average for me, though."
