Jaye and Lorelei

Lorelei trembled faintly, but didn't allow anything, but her typical grin to show on her face. Her eyes told a different story, but she tried hard not to look her mother in the eyes.

"It's fine." She replied faintly.

"No, it's not, Lorelei," Seneca whispered sadly. "I'm so sorry."

Lorelei's gaze flickered to him briefly before she shrugged.

"It's fine." She repeated softly.

"No it is not," Seneca said and forced her to look at him; tears glistened in his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Lorelei. I don't want you to change at all. You're my perfect, beautiful, awesome, little girl and I don't want you to ever change."

Lorelei trembled faintly, biting her bottom lip lightly. It seemed that she had inherited her father's stubbornness to not cry.
"Well good, because I'm not changing for anyone..." She managed to get out, but it was clearly choked as she fought back silent sobs.

Seneca sighed, hugging her close and gently swaying with her as he lightly played his fingers through her hair, whispering softly to her just how much he loved her.

After several minutes, Lorelei seemed to crack and she pressed her head tightly into her mother's shoulder as her body trembled - a faint sniffling sound indicating that she was indeed crying. Gilbert watched on, eyes a little distant and dull with faint depression before they glanced to Blaze briefly.

Seneca held Lorelei tightly to him, gently rocking with her and letting her cry. Blaze watched the two of them for a few moments before he met his father's gaze. He sighed and bowed his head before he went over to him and wrapped his arms around him. "I'm sorry, Dad," he whispered quietly to him. "I don't mean to be such an asshole. I really don't."

Gilbert seemed to be genuinely surprised before he wrapped his arms around Blaze. Then, he held his son as closely as he could, pressing his chin against the boy's shoulder.

"You're not." He said softly.

"You're a kick ass awesome son. I love all of you three so awesomely and I try to do it equally, but I'm a horrible, unawesome father." The albino whispered.

"I'm going to try and be more awesome for you though."

Blaze sighed. "Dad, you're a wonderful father," he whispered to him. "You just, don't have it right all the time. But that doesn't make you any less of an awesome father."

Gilbert shook his head faintly and bit his bottom lip again as he held Blaze just a little tighter.

"I'm going to be more awesome though, okay? We're going to spend more time together. I promise. Doing things you want to do. I don't want to lose my son..."

Blaze sighed, hugging his father tightly. "I'm not going anywhere, Dad," he said softly to him. "You won't lose me."

"I know, because I'm not going to let it happen." Gilbert said firmly.

Blaze sighed and smiled faintly. "Lorelei's exactly like you, ya know?" he mumbled with a sigh.

"Let's hope not exactly like me. I'm awesome, but I make too many mistakes..." Gilbert murmured faintly.

Blaze sighed. Lorelei was almost identical to their father. "Everyone makes mistakes, Dad," he said softly. "We just have to learn from them."

"Well, I'm learning from them." Gilbert responded firmly.

"We need to have a father-son thingie."

Blaze sighed and nodded slightly. "Ya," he replied.

"I want to." Gilbert whispered softly.

"Whatever you want, I'll do it."

Blaze nodded. "I'll have to get back to you about that though," he mumbled, his head coming to rest against his father's shoulder the way it used to when he was a small child.

Gilbert nodded faintly and rocked with Blaze absently, kissing his forehead in a very awesome and manly way.

"I love you..." He murmured softly.

Blaze nodded. "I love you too, Dad," he said quietly.

Gilbert hummed faintly and held him continuously.

"And you're not just saying that because I'm a pathetic mess?"

Blaze shook his head. "No, Dad," he mumbled. "I'm not just saying that. I mean it."

"I love you." Gilbert repeated faintly.
