Jaye and Lorelei

"Three musketeers?" Lorelei added in with a faint smile, clearly feeling relieved.

"Mm...that'd be fun. L- like the time we beat up the little assholes, right?" She hummed faintly, hugging Blaze close.

"S- so can we go back now?" She asked quietly.

"Mom and Dad are really worried you know. And it's weird and I think Abel was near tears when you left..."

Blaze sighed, bowing his head and he nodded slightly. "Ya, let's get back," he mumbled.

"Dad feels really bad too you know." Lorelei whispered softly.

Blaze nodded slightly. "Ya, I guess I was pretty mean to him too, huh?" he asked.

"A little..." Lorelei replied faintly.

"But Dad didn't defend himself either. And he certainly didn't help any. Dad's been mopy though...he tries, Blaze..." She muttered softly.

Blaze sighed, shaking his head. "He tries all the wrong things," he replied.

Lorelei blinked and then sighed faintly.

"Dad can be really unawesome sometimes. But...talking to him helps?" She offered, blinking.

"I dunno. Sometimes you gotta drill it through his skull. Mom says I'm like him..."

Blaze stared at her blankly. "No, really?" he asked. "You don't see the resemblance?"

"I don't look anything like Dad. And I'm more awesome than him." Lorelei replied, puffing out her cheeks faintly.

"No, but you act almost exactly like him," Blaze replied with a sigh.

Lorelei bit her bottom lip faintly and then shrugged.

"Okay, but I'm still totally more awesome." She paused.

"You're pretty awesome too though."

Blaze sighed, rolling his eyes. "Ya, sure," he muttered. "Can you get off me now?"

Pouting slightly, Lorelei listened to her brother's wishes and peered up at him.

"You never really did care for my hugs..." She muttered faintly.

"That's not true," Blaze replied. "I just don't like being crushed to death."

'I don't hug you that tightly..." Lorelei murmured softly.

"At least I try...that makes me pretty damn awesome, yeah?"

Blaze sighed, slowly getting to his feet. "Whatever you say," he replied, dusting sand off his pants.

Lorelei slumped faintly and then sighed.

"Okay..."

"I just think you go way to overboard with this whole awesome thing," Blaze grumbled. "Are we going back?"

Lorelei pouted faintly and sighed before nodding.

"Yeah..." She muttered faintly.

Blaze nodded and held his hand out to her, encouraging her to take it.

Lorelei blinked once and then grinned faintly as she took her brother's hand, standing herself up.

"Awesome..." She murmured faintly.

"Right, let's go."

Blaze smiled faintly and put his arm around his sister's shoulders, holding her close and walking with her.

Lorelei smiled faintly as she allowed herself to huddle next to her brother as they walked.

"How are things between you and your girlfriend anyway?"

Blaze smiled, a happy look to his eyes at the thought of his girlfriend. "We're doing good," he replied. He paused and chewed his lip slightly. "Had, uh, quite the scare last week though."

Lorelei looked to him, eyes interested and concerned.

"A- a pregnancy scare?" She murmured thoughtfully.
