Cursed Objects :P

The two of them helped her back to their camp and Python helped her sit down as Ivory retrieved some water from the beautifully pure and pristine river.

Virgo was quiet as she remained where she was sitting awkwardly. Her eyes flickered around in curiousity.

"O- oh..."

Python knelt down and examined Virgo's leg again, wrapping it to keep it from getting injured further. "Do you know how you got here?" she asked.

"A witch cursed me here." Virgo whispered softly.

"S- she thought I stole something. I swear I didn't. I didn't steal anything..."

Python frowned. "Why would she do such a thing?" she asked. "Did she at least get your side of the story?"

"M- Miss Havisham jumps to conclusions a lot." Virgo whispered softly.

"She just shouts and does what she pleases. I wasn't allowed to speak."

Ivory returned with a small goblet of water and held it out to Virgo with trembling hands. "What a horrid woman," Python sighed.

Virgo lightly took the goblet and shyly murmured a thank you.

"S- she isn't very nice at all..."

"She doesn't sound it," Python sighed. "So you know how to get back to your home? Maybe we can take you there?"

Virgo shook her head, wincing faintly as she felt more tears well up in her eyes.

"I- I don't know...s- she cursed me here within this world." She whispered softly.

"I- I don't know if I can ever go back."

Ivory hesitantly sat down beside Virgo and wrapped his arms around her. "It's okay to cry," he said softly to her. Python sighed.
"We'll get you home," she said softly. "Don't you worry."

Virgo sniffed, absent tears leaking down her face. Instead of wiping them, she pressed her face into Ivory's shoulder and whimpered again.

Ivory squeaked faintly before he hesitantly wrapped his arms around her, embracing her and trying to comfort her.

Virgo sniffled and trembled as she quietly sobbed into Ivory's shoulder, biting at her lip and mumbling soft "sorries" repetitively.

Python reached out and lightly touched Virgo's hair. "Don't worry, sweetheart. We'll get you home," she said softly. "Somehow, we'll get you home."

"Y- you will?" The girl whispered weakly.

"R- really?"

Python smiled and nodded. "We'll do whatever we can to get you home," she said softly.

Virgo whimpered softly and more tears sprang to her eyes.

"Th- thank you!"

Ivory held her closer and Python smiled. "Now, turn that sad look into a smile, okay?" she said to her. "You're safe, and you're alive."

The girl nodded faintly and tried to smile weakly.

"Y- yeah..."

Python smiled. "Now, I've just caught some fish, would you care to join us for a meal?" she asked.

Virgo was quiet for a moment before giving a slow nod, feeling the hunger gnawing at her stomach which was really, clearly quite empty. She wasn't sure how long she had been in this world - this book - but apparently it was long enough for her to be hungry.

"I- I would love to." She whispered softly.

Python smiled and lightly patted her knee. "Alright, I'll get started on that," she said softly and got up, getting their meal started. Ivory slowly released the female and lightly brushed some of his hair out of his face.

The redheaded girl watched him quietly, a light twitch of her lips followed.

"You're very pretty." She murmured to him softly.

Ivory flushed deeply, hiding his face in his hands. "No, I'm not," he whispered shyly.
