Jade and Guy

"U- um..." Guy stared at him and swallowed.

"W- we don't even know each other's names..."

The man grinned and held out his hand. "Jade Curtiss," he said to him. "A pleasure to meet you."

Awkwardly, Gailardia peered at Jade's hand before reaching and interlocking fingers.

"Um...Gailardia Cecil...a pleasure to meet you as well? Call me Guy...please."

The older male nodded and smiled. "Well, now we know each other's names. May I take you home with me now?" he asked. "I can assure you, you won't regret it."

Guy looked contemplative for a moment as he peered up into the other's eyes. Nonetheless, he shortly after gave a nod as he absently smoothed out his shirt.

"U- um, sure, I guess. If you really want to."

"If I didn't want to, I wouldn't have asked," Jade replied, his vibrant red eyes regarding the younger male coolly behind his small framed glasses. He held his hand out to him. "Shall we then?"

Guy regarded the other's hand almost warily before he sighed, smiled and nodded, placing his own hand into the brunette's.

"W- well, alright then."

Jade nodded and led him towards the door, glancing back at his friends, one of which was still dancing and having what appeared to be the time of his life!

Guy blinked faintly and glanced up at the other curiously as he followed him.

"Do you live nearby?" Jade asked him casually.

"A- about two or three blocks." Guy replied, peering up at Jade.

"Um...do you?"

"I reside up at the palace," Jade said, glancing at Guy.

Guy paused in his step and stared at Jade quietly before giving a slow nod. Well, there went pretty much all possibility of starting any sort of serious relationship with this one. Not that Gailardia had expected to have one. Somehow, he didn't think that this one did serious relationships.

That, and he hardly knew him.

"Oh? What's it like?" He murmured absently.

"Dull and boring," Jade replied simply with a casual shrug, clasping his hands behind his back again. "There are so many rules that have to be followed."

"Well, rules are important, right?" Guy replied with a faint amused smile.

"I suppose," Jade replied. "That's why the emperor is back at the bar dancing."

Guy stared at Jade incredulously.

"The emperor? Back at the bar dancing?"

Jade nodded. "Mm hm," he murmured. "He wanted to get out and have some fun for once."

"...is going dancing the best idea?" Guy muttered.

"There's a bunch of creeps in places like that."

"He's well aware of that," Jade replied. "I left him with Saphir, although Saphir couldn't save himself if he had to." He smiled. "Peony will be fine."

(did you wanna put Peony with someone that he meets at the bar?)

Guy stared blankly at the other.

"You don't sound terribly convincing, you know that?"

Jade chuckled lightly. "Peony is perfectly capable of taking care of himself. He's not the spoiled little rich kid people think he is."

"I never said he was." Guy responded simply.

"Still, leaving the emperor all alone with someone who can't even take care of himself?"

Jade looked over at Guy and arched an eyebrow. "If anything, Peony will look after Saphir. I wouldn't worry."

Guy stared at his new companion.

"Um...okay?"
